Random List Splitter
Split a list into a chosen number of random groups of nearly equal size. Useful for splitting a class, sorting samples or dividing tasks across people.
How to use it
Paste one item per line, choose how many groups you want, and press Split. Groups differ in size by at most one item.
Example
Eight names split into two groups give two groups of four names each.
Limits and accuracy
You need at least two items and cannot make more groups than items. The split is random, so it does not balance skills, ages or any other attribute.
Frequently asked questions
Are the groups the same size?
They differ by at most one item. Some groups may have one more entry than others.
Can I keep certain people together?
Not in this version. Split the list manually for that.
